Recipe Scaler
Any recipe • Any size • Amounts you can measure
Doubling a recipe is easy until it says ⅓ cup and ¾ teaspoon. Paste the ingredient list from any recipe, choose the new size, and Recipe Scaler gives back amounts you can actually measure: ⅓ cup halved is 2 tbsp + 2 tsp, spoons grow into cups as a batch gets bigger, and grams stay precise. Every number that changed is highlighted.
Scale four ways: by servings (a recipe for 4 becomes a recipe for 6, or 24 cookies become 36), by multiplying (half, double, or any number), by the amount of one ingredient you have (only 300 g of flour left? the whole recipe follows), or by pan size, from an 8-inch round to a 9 × 13-inch pan by the area of the base.
It reads recipes the way they are written: fractions like 1½ and 1-1/2, ranges, amounts in brackets (¾ cup (180 ml) becomes 1½ cups (360 ml)), can sizes that stay put, and words that follow their numbers. Switch between metric and US cups — volume to volume and weight to weight, never guessed. Paste a whole recipe page or share it from your browser, save recipes on your phone, and share the scaled result. Works offline, with no account.

What's inside
Amounts you can measure
Results are rounded to real measuring cups and spoons — ¼, ⅓, ½, ⅔ and ¾ cup, down to ⅛ teaspoon — and written in two parts when that is easier: ⅓ cup halved is 2 tbsp + 2 tsp. An amount that had to be rounded noticeably is marked ≈.
Scale to what you have
Pick the ingredient you have a set amount of, type how much — in any unit of the same kind — and every other line follows. A line that gives both cups and grams accepts either.
Reads real recipes
Paste a recipe page and the title, servings, ingredients and method are sorted for you. Brackets, ranges, cans and packs, “to taste” and pinches are all handled the way a cook would, and the method is kept exactly as written.
